Billy Beck ~ Keyboard Artist and writer-producer of many of the hits of Award-Winning R & B group The Ohio Players, Songstress Shirley Murdock and the late Roger Troutman. This presentation of The Valley Gold Show with Debor'ah Benton opened up with Billy Beck and The Valley Gold House Band performing "Skin Tight," Afterward, Beck was interviewed by Debor'ah and Beck bore his soul; he told of his high points with the Ohio Players, and almost tearfully disclosed even the very lowest moments in his life. He also was surpised as Debor'ah included a tribute to Beck from his dear freind, "Sugar" Leroy Bonner,lead singer of the Ohio Players. Later, Beck re-joined the Valley Gold House Band where he gave a mini-concert to a full house. Major Hit-Maker for Ohio Players Band Brings It All Home on Valley Gold Show

During the interview segments of the show, Billy Beck shares the ultimate highs and the deepest lows of his widely celebrated music career. Host, Debor’ah Benton, and her studio audience of approximately one hundred, witnessed a historical hour when famed musician yielded to hosts questions on everything from ‘who he was before joining the Ohio Players, to his writing genius, substance abuse, and his return to his roots.’ The music segment of the show included a stellar performance of one of Beck’s [and the Ohio Players] Platinum hits that had never actually been performed in front of a live audience – that is until that magical moment on The Valley Gold Show. “The newly established “Billy Beck and the Valley Gold Band” (Jeff Green, Sax & Vocals; Fred Irvin, Bass; StingRay Brooks, Lead Guitar, Talk Box, & Vocals, David “Wee Wee” Paige, Drums & Vocals, and Kim Hines, Percussion) launched this hometown talk show into a new orbit as the musicians rocked the mic’s before an audience of electrified fans who couldn’t manage to keep their seats.
